Under the medical direction of Prof. Dr. med. Nima Etminan, the Neurochirurgie³ Center combines the expertise of neurosurgery at the locations Universitätsmedizin Mannheim, BG Klinik Ludwigshafen, and Klinikum der Stadt Ludwigshafen am Rhein gGmbH. This cooperation enables cross-state, focus-specific treatment of complex neurosurgical conditions and sets standards in modern patient care.

Operating Rooms
The Neurosurgical Clinic has three state-of-the-art multimedia networked operating rooms of the highest standard. All offer infrastructural features such as:
- Operating microscopes (including Blue 400, Infrared 800 including Flow 800)
- Neuronavigation
- Intraoperative imaging
- Intraoperative monitoring
- CUSA
- Endoscopy
Through technical equipment and a highly specialized team in neurosurgery, anesthesia, and surgical nursing, the highest level of neurosurgical procedures is ensured.

Inpatient Wards
The Neurosurgical Clinic has 44 patient beds on Ward 1-44.

Intensive Care Units
Intensive medical care is provided in the neuro-surgical-anesthesiological intensive care unit NCAI (32-2) under the direction of the Clinic for Neurosurgery. A total of 12 ventilation beds are available. Patient care is highly interdisciplinary in close cooperation.
