Every elective case is discussed in our interdisciplinary neurovascular conference (neurosurgery, neuroradiology, neurology) . You will receive a written, reasoned recommendation specifying the underlying risk assessment (including PHASES, UIATS) and references to relevant guidelines (ESO 2022, AWMF/DGN) .
We do not take over cases, but assess them – further care remains with you, wherever you wish.
It is particularly useful to present the following:
-
All newly diagnosed patients with unruptured aneurysms – regardless of size
-
Aneurysms with documented growth or change in shape during follow-up examinations
-
Patients with aneurysms and relevant comorbidities, for whom the decision is difficult.
-
Multiple aneurysms, familial clustering, ADPKD, connective tissue diseases
-
Individuals wishing to undergo screening with a positive family history – for consultation prior to imaging.
-
Condition after treatment with residual or recurrence findings
-
Complex aneurysms – large and giant aneurysms, broad-based, fusiform or partially thrombosed findings, recurrences after prior treatment
-
Aneurysms in children and adolescents
-
Requests for a second opinion – also as a form of reassurance before a planned intervention
